Make sure the batteries on your new and old smartphones are charged at least 50% before starting the data transfer procedure. Transfer data from your old Xperia phone. Your old Xperia phone requires Android™ 6.0 or higher. The Xperia Z5 Compact runs the same software as the Xperia Z5 - a customised version of Google’s Android 5.1 Lollipop. Sony’s music, movies and album apps are all solid, but can be ignored for Install it and run. Next you will see window with 4 options. Choose option "Support Zone New!", and click "Start". Wait for the program to install the appropriate add-on. After that you will see next window with 3 options. Go to option "Phone / Tablet Software Update", and click "Start". Select "repair my phone / tablet". On the left side, you should have the list of Sony Xperia Models. Scroll down and find your exact model. Then look for the firmware that suits you the most and click on it. To Remove the Nano SIM Card. 1. Open the cover for the nano SIM card and memory card slots. 2. Using a fingernail or other similar object, drag out the nano SIM card tray. 3. Remove the nano SIM card, then re-insert the tray. 4. Close the cover. Turn off the Xperia device. Insert the SIM card from your new operator. Turn on the Xperia device. If prompted, enter the PIN code for the SIM card (4 digits). Enter the Network Unlock Code / Network Control Key (16 digits). NOTE: The device will become hard locked if too many unsuccessful attempts are made. Back up any important data that is saved on the internal memory of your device to a memory card or other non-internal memory. If you have any encrypted files stored on an SD card, you should also remove the encryption to ensure you can still access them after the reset. Find and tap Settings → System → Reset. Tap Factory data reset → zfrB.
