Beach66Bum. A very common problem with the Gen.10’s is the overhead display to stop working. Before you go and buy a new unit from the Ford dealership, remove the unit and look at the printed circuit board. The most common thing that prevents the unit from working are the 510’s (as seen in pic) that come loose from the printed circuit board.
1. Enter self-test diagnostics by depressing the speed control OFF switch while turning the ignition key ON, making sure the engine does not start and is not running. The speed control indicator on the instrument panel will flash once to indicate that speed control module entered the diagnostic mode.

I'm having a problem with the information display. For the last 3 years at the sign of the first below zero temperature (it seems!) the information display has blanked out. Last year, when we had lots of snow, it started with no display when starting out but it gradually came on whilst driving.
